Skygods Paragliding
We're a team of dedicated individuals, focused on providing safe and enjoyable XC paragliding holidays.
Each guide has excellent local knowledge of the sites and area, in order to maximise quality flying time. We tailor each day to the weather, pilot ability and the goals you want to achieve, ensuring a smooth, stress-free experience from take-off to landing.
Our core philosophy is to provide value for money paragliding trips, without ever compromising on safety, quality, or the level of personal attention each pilot receives.
About Me - Owen Thompson
I started flying around 12 years ago, and setup Skygods Paragliding in the summer of 2019.
I'm passionate about providing other pilots with exactly what I wanted from XC paragliding holidays - comfortable accommodation, stress-free transport & retrieves, and above all - lots of flying!
When I'm not out free-flying or guiding groups, I enjoy hiking, exploring new places and playing badminton.
Natan Lichtnow
Natan started flying at just 14 years old. With his dad running a paragliding school in southern Brazil, he has been helping teach people to fly for as long as he can remember.
Now based in Governador Valadares running trips and coaching pilots, he combines fluent Portuguese and English with a wealth of flying experience—putting him in the ideal position to guide groups of pilots in the area.
He says, “My favourite thing about this sport is helping people take their flying skills to the next level. Seeing the smile that appears when everything finally clicks makes it all worth it.”
Håkan Ponthan
Håkan first tried flying off a ski slope with a parachute back in 1986. It didn’t immediately win him over, but when paragliding had matured a few years later he returned to the sport in 1991 and flew intensively for several years before career and family life paused his flying.
He restarted paragliding in Austria in 2015 and has been making up for lost time ever since. Italy holds a special place in his heart, where he has spent many months flying, guiding and competing. He has also logged plenty of airtime across the Alps, Spain, Colombia, India and Morocco.
Håkan began guiding in Bassano in 2018. With a background in the military, healthcare and the renewable energy industry, he brings a strong focus on safety and continuous learning. What he enjoys most about paragliding is the mix of flying, nature, and the people and cultures you meet along the way — as well as helping his youngest daughter learn to fly.
Plamen Todorov
Plamen first flew tandem as a child with his father, and ever since then he dreamed of free flight and exploring the sky as his own personal playground.
He began flying solo in 2015, turning years of childhood inspiration into real skill and dedication.
He enjoys Cross-country flying, but Acro is his real passion. For the last 2 years he's taken part in the FAI Acro World Tour, proudly representing Bulgaria. He now spends most of his time living in Switzerland, flying tandems in the ski resort of Zermatt.
